Flying Whale E06-1 Inorganic Zinc Silicate Antirust Paint
Product overview
The two-component inorganic zinc silicate antirust paint is composed of alkyl silicate polymer as the base material, zinc powder, pigments and fillers, additives and alcohol solvents. The paint film has excellent anti-rust performance, heat resistance and cathodic protection; has excellent impact resistance and wear resistance.
Recommended use
Industrial protective paint field:
For offshore platforms, bridges, large steel structures, wharf steel piles, coastal steel equipment for high-performance antirust paint.

CONSTRUCTION CONDITIONS
The substrate temperature should be higher than the air dew point more than 3 ℃, can be in -20 ℃-50 ℃ temperature construction. When the substrate temperature is higher than 40 ℃, the spray gun must be used for construction, but the substrate temperature shall not exceed 60 ℃. In order to avoid dry spraying, diluent shall be added when necessary. The measurement of temperature and humidity should be carried out at the substrate near the operation point. When the construction is not in an open space, good ventilation must be provided to ensure the normal drying of the paint film.
Surface treatment
New steel: blast cleaned to level Sa2.5, surface roughness 35-75um.

Safety and Health
Before using this product, please pay attention to the safety label on the packaging container, refer to and follow the information and precautions related to health and safety in the product safety technical manual of flying whale new material company. During the construction and drying of the product, appropriate ventilation and preventive measures must be adopted to control the solvent concentration within the safety limit to prevent poisoning or hypoxia. Take measures to avoid skin and eye contact with the product. If contact occurs, wash it immediately with suitable detergent, soap and water. If splashed into eyes, rinse with water and seek medical treatment immediately.
Packing specification
Packing barrel specification | Packing weight | |
Group A | 20 Litres | 22.5kg |
Component B | 10 Litres | 7.5kg |
Storage period
Store in a cool, dry, ventilated and dedicated warehouse away from heat sources. The shelf life at room temperature is 12 months for component A and 6 months for component B. After that, it shall be used after passing the inspection.
Precautions
During construction, a mixer shall be used to continuously stir to prevent zinc powder precipitation; when the dry film thickness is lower than the requirement and it is necessary to recoat a layer of inorganic zinc silicate paint, the inorganic zinc silicate paint shall be diluted with 50% 107 diluent and recoated to increase the interlayer adhesion between the paint films; when the paint film thickness of inorganic zinc silicate paint is greater than 120um, mud crack surface failure is easy to occur due to the stress in the paint film; when the relative humidity is lower than 70%, it is not conducive to the hydrolysis and curing reaction of the paint film, and the paint film shall be properly treated with alcohol every 2 hours after coating for 3 hours. When zinc salt is formed on the surface of the paint film after long-term exposure, it must be removed when coating the next paint, otherwise it will affect the interlayer adhesion and use effect of the paint film.
